Hello! My name is Keshav Harpavat, a 16-year-old from Houston, Texas. I am passionate about sharing the bagpipes with children living with cystic fibrosis (CF). I have been playing the bagpipes since second grade and have had the honor of performing at our Veterans’ Hospital, the Bagpipe World Championships in Scotland, outside the World Series, and many other incredible events. People often ask me: why CF? A few years ago, I fell sick, and my father suggested I try the bagpipes to help open my lungs. Reluctantly, I did - and it worked! My lungs cleared up, and I realized I wanted to help others in the same way. Through connecting with the local CF chapter and learning about the challenges these children face, I started Pipes for the People. The program has grown enormously thanks to the 2025 Impact Grant and progressing international partnerships. I am extremely grateful to be part of this amazing community and excited to reach even more youth with CF.
