Pipes for thePeople

Empowering youth with Cystic Fibrosis through the healing power of bagpipe music — one breath at a time.

Why Bagpipes?

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a chronic lung disease that makes it difficult to breathe. For children with cystic fibrosis, every breath matters. The practice chanter - the learning instrument for bagpipes - requires sustained, controlled breathing that naturally serves as respiratory therapy, while also teaching a beautiful art form.

Strengthens Lungs

The controlled breathing required for bagpipe playing exercises and strengthens respiratory muscles.
